Head Golf Professional
The "Duke" as he is known to his friends, is entering his 18th year as Head Professional of The Youngstown Country Club. After graduating from Allegheny College in 1987, where he was an All-Conference Player and NCAA National Participant, he began his golf apprenticeship under the legendary Bob Ford at the Oakmont Country Club. After fine tuning his skills at Oakmont, and gaining valuable experience at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club in Jupiter, FL., he was selected as the Head Golf Professional at Wanango Country Club in western PA. He served nine successful years at Wanango before being selected as the Head Golf Professional at The Youngstown Country Club.
Scott has had the distinguished honor of receiving the NOPGA 2011 Bill Strausbaugh Award as well as the NOPGA 2012 Horton Smith Award. He has been actively involved with the Northern Ohio Section as an officer and has served as the Secretary of the NOPGA during the years of 2012 and 2013. In 2014, he became the Vice-President of the Section. From 2016 through 2018, The "Duke" served as President of the Northern Ohio Section.
"My mission as the Head Golf Professional at The Youngstown Country Club is to administer a golf operation that will enhance the enjoyment of the game of golf for all levels of the membership. My ultimate goal is to exceed the expectations of the members by providing quality service, a well planned tournament schedule, effective golf instruction and creative merchandising for all members."

Assistant Golf Professional
Jon has been a life-long resident of the Youngstown area. Born and raised in Howland, OH, Jon graduated from Youngstown State University (1990) where he was a four-year letterman of the YSU Golf Team. As a member of the Northern Ohio PGA, he was the 2006 & 2007 Match Play Champion and has also qualified for two different PGA Club Professional National Championships. Jon was also voted by his peers as the 2008 Teacher of the Year and was also named the Assistant of the Year for the Section. He has also been ranked as one of the "Top Ten Teachers" in the state of Ohio. During his 18+ year tenure at The Youngstown Country Club, Jon has become a Level Two Certified Instructor of the Jim Hardy School named the "Plane Truth".
